PRE-PUBLISH CHECKLIST
Amazon Listing Compliance Checklist
Updated 2026 · Avoid takedowns & suppression
Most Amazon takedowns are preventable. They come from a small set of repeat mistakes — banned claims, wrong category, missing safety attributes — that a 5-minute check catches before publish. Use this checklist, then run the free ListingGood compliance check as a final pass.
Title & bullets
No medical / cure claims ("cures", "treats", "FDA-approved" unless qualified).
No promotional superlatives ("best", "100%", "guaranteed", "#1").
No trademarked brand names you don't own (e.g. "fits iPhone" is fine; "iPhone case" as a product name is risky).
No pricing or time-limited language in the listing ("on sale", "50% off").
Every claim is substantiated or removed.
Category & discoverability
Product is in the most specific correct category — category mismatch hides it from its real demand.
Key attributes (size, color, material, compatibility) are filled, not left default.
Backend search terms don't repeat words already in the title/bullets.
EU / GPSR (if selling in DE/FR/ES/IT)
GPSR responsible-person and manufacturer details present.
Battery / PPWR attributes declared where applicable (2026 rules).
Age-grading and warning labels correct for the product type.
Safety documents reachable from the listing.
